We thank Alice Ramsauer who has retired from the Board after serving for such a long time. We all know that Alice will still be at every function volunteering to do something as she always has.

Jerry Burge had reported that the City and County of Los Angeles has enacted a spay-neuter law. The CDOC did fight this legislature, but lost. They will try again and could use donations to help in their efforts to stop this.

Debby Knous and Pam Jewell will again be setting up an information booth at the Golden Gate Show January 28th & 29th. They could use some volunteers to come and share a little time in manning the table. If you are interested in helping out please contact Debby and/or Pam either by phone or email

We had also received a request for 2nd Versatility Award from the STCA. This person was listed in the Awards catalog but the information had not been sent to us.. It has been taken care of and the award has been sent to:

The San Francisco Bay Scottish Terrier Club featured Walkers’ Scottie Dogs at their Fall Specialty 2011. The Sweeney Family was kind enough to send a photo of their two Scotties, Tyler (left) and Abagayle sitting on the front porch.

Betty McArthur donated for- Ken rescuing a Possum and –for the article in the Press Democrat about Nancee Taveres donating the jewelry she makes from beads,crystals etc to local non- profit groups such as  Petaluma  People  Services;;  Wildlife  Rescue;;  Petaluma  Woman’s  Clubs  etc. 11  organizations to date for their fund raisers.

October is here and our Annual Specialty is just around the corner at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Judging starts at 10:30 a.m. We plan a fun day in Pleasanton for everyone. Ways n Means will have Scottie items, Baskets filled with all kinds of surprises and a silent auction!

Coffee and Donuts will be served in the morning before judging and there will be a luncheon after the judging.

Kenny Lyngen has come up with a great way to raise money for the club — sell members “extra” Scottie collectibles at the popular Alameda Point Antiques Faire!

Donations: Please price each item and mark if the proceeds from the sale should benefit the Club’s general fund or rescue. Bring items to the May 28 General Meeting. If you can’t, call Kenny on (831) 595-4837.

Kenny has reserved a booth at the Antiques Faire for Sunday, June 5 June 12. we need volunteers to shelp set-up at 5a.m. and then to staff the booth and package unsold items after the 3p.m. closing time. Please call Kenny (number above) to volunteer.
